Garmin BikeFest Marathon

You can look forward to riding the new tracks that will expose the beautiful surroundings of Považský Inovec. You'll see old places from a different perspective. New tracks include also new and attractive locations. The route of the marathon connects the foothills of Považský Inovec with the ridge and the iconic lookout tower on Panská Javorina. We kept the well-known singletrack sections on the route, which are very popular in the final phase of the marathon. The route connects beautiful locations in the northern part of the mountain range with the village of Kálnica. 

Hundreds of riders of all ages take part in the BikeFest Marathon every year. As in SCOTT Enduro Race, the marathon does not lack the category of electric bicycles. That is divided into two categories: 

• bicycles must meet the PEDELEC standard, which means that the maximum rated power of the electric bicycle is 250 W and the engine is equipped with a speed limiter at 25 km / h. 
• e-bikes that do not meet this standard start in the OPEN category.

Competitors will have refreshment stations with liquids, fruit, or bars available on the tracks. A service and ambulance will be available at each refreshment stop. A mobile rescuer will also be at the disposal during the race.

For every participant is prepared a gift package, warm food, non-alcoholic drink, refreshment on the track. Every participant, which registers online until 25th of May 2023 (midnight) will receive starting number with his/her own name! 

Those who registered and are under 18 years old need a written consent of a legal representative.

Bikefest Marathon is organized by the Slovak Cycling Club.

You'll see old places from a different perspective. New tracks include also new and attractive locations. The route of the marathon connects the foothills of Považský Inovec with the ridge and the iconic lookout tower on Panská Javorina. We kept the well-known singletrack sections on the route, which are very popular in the final phase of the marathon. The route connects beautiful locations in the northern part of the mountain range with the village of Kálnica. 

Refreshment stations with drinks, fruit or bars will be available to bikers on the tracks. Mobile first-aid assistance and servicemen will be also present at the marathon during the race.

Time limit:
On the Big Circuit, the time limit is 14:30 at Panská Javorina (53.7 km). Riders who do not pass the site by then, will be directed to the shortcut to Kálnica and will not be classified at the finish. 
On the Medium Circuit, the time limit for passing the Inovec locality is 14:00. Riders who do not pass through the site by then, will be warned that they will not be classified at the finish. 

Marking of tracks:
According to the rules of UCI and SZC: Directional arrows (white background boards) show the upcoming track changes, intersections, refreshment zones and all potentially dangerous situations.
Additional marking: using PE strips 
 
Timekeeping:
Time tracking will be provided by the company VOS-TPK with chip technology. The chips are disposable, stuck to the starting number. Chips as well as starting numbers are not to be returned.
After entering your phone number during registration, you will receive an SMS with the time and location after reaching your destination.
 
Results:
Unofficial results will be gradually published on the information board in the registration area. Objections can be filed right after arrival into the finish line in the registration area into the hands of the director of the race. However, no later than 1 hour before announcement of the results.

Photo services: Pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act No. 18/2018 Coll., I give my consent to the company FaxCopy Pro s.r.o., IČO [Organization ID]: 47076178, for taking photos and publishing them on www.faxcopypro.sk in the scope of the photograph (valid for 5 years after the event) taken at the event and the starting number. In this regard, I also give consent to the company for sending an information e-mail to my e-mail address (valid for 1 year after the event), referring to the photographs taken. The consent can be withdrawn by an e-mail sent to: fotime@faxcopypro.sk or by checking the box at the registration.

Technical help: Basic technical assistance will be provided in the premises of the refreshment stations.
 
Insurance: Participants are obliged to arrange for themselves individual insurance. If necessary, the participant is obliged to present a health insurance card. The organizer does not take responsibility for damage to property or health related to the participation in the race or traveling to the event or staying in the place of their event.
 
Accommodation: The organizer does not provide accommodation. 

Storage:
For the visitors of BikeFest we have prepared a bike storage room so that you don’t have to worry about yours when you are not riding. The storage room is available for a one-time fee 5 €.
You can bring or take your bike in the following time:
on FRIDAY 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
on SATURDAY 09:00 am – 07:00 pm
on SUNDAY 09:00 am – 05:00 pm

Entry conditions:
100 % bike condition and health condition of the racer
Certified cycling helmet properly fastened to the head during the entire race. Bikers riding on the track without a helmet will be disqualified.
Participation in the marathon is at your own risk.We recommend having your mobile phone with you during the race in case of emergency.
