4ka Whip Off Contest

Whips have no other purpose than to look good and a good whip - throwing the rear wheel sideways - is more stylish than 8 out of 10 more challenging tricks.

Whip is a trick in which a rider in a jump pull it sideways to whip the back wheel out. The more the bike is turned, the better the whip. They can be done on both sides or in the air with one foot off the pedal. The bike should be straightened before landing because a technically clean landing is also part of a good whip.

Only on the spot before the start of the 4ka Whip Off Contest.

Registration at 7:25 PM
Registration takes place exclusively at the starting area (on the hill before the jump) on Friday at 7:25 PM. Every participant over the age of 18 is required to personally fill out and sign the registration form. The organizer may ask the rider to present an ID card to verify that they are 18 years of age or older. If a rider has not yet reached the age of 18 on the day of the race, a parent must be present in person during registration at the starting line. The parent must sign a declaration consenting to the child’s participation at their own risk. Consent from another adult will not be accepted.
 
Qualification 7:30 PM – 7:55 PM
After registration, each rider must complete a qualifying run on the jump without the fire lit. Based on the qualifying run, the judges will select the riders advancing to the Whip Off Contest finals. Qualifying riders will be marked with a wristband.
 
FINALS 8:00 PM
The finals will take place on the jump with the fire lit. Only riders marked with a wristband who have advanced from the qualifying round may participate.
